Where it all began…

I'm Katherine, and I take immense pride in being the founder of The Holiday Mode. My journey into the world of travel began at a young age, thanks to my parents who instilled in me the wonder that comes with exploring new places. As a child, we’d spend our summers and holidays visiting various corners of the UK, with the occasional trip abroad thrown in.

It wasn’t until we ventured all the way to New Zealand via Hong Kong when I was 18 years old that the true zest for travel was ignited within me. As a result, over the years, I’ve been very fortunate to be able to continue to feed that travel bug. It’s taken me all over the world, allowing me to experience new cultures and introduce me to incredibly inspirational people.

It was this that led me to making the decision to uproot my life from London to Dubai in 2021. I was following the footsteps of one of my best friends who had made the move ten years earlier. Dubai had always intrigued me & I was keen to find out more about life in this emirate.

Within weeks of arriving, friends and family started to eagerly plan visits to experience this dynamic city, one that I now called home. I found myself dedicating hours to research, and crafting detailed itineraries to showcase the very best of Dubai. Drawing on my natural organisational skills and my passion for creating tailor-made experiences, I contemplated transforming this talent into a business venture…

Dubai, with its forward-thinking ethos and rapid evolution, serves as an exhilarating hub for tourism and residence. The city's popularity has surged in recent years, attracting both tourists and expats alike. Amid this bustling environment, I recognised some gaps in the market:

A lack of comprehensive platforms that seamlessly unite Dubai's diverse offerings into personalised, bespoke itineraries.
Limited services that open up Dubai to a wider audience and challenge stereotypes associated with holidays to Dubai.
And, very few offerings that values relationships with clients first. Services who would work with you as the customer, listen to you and share expert advice were somewhat lacking.

And so, The Holiday Mode was born.

My vision is clear: to design your dream Dubai holiday. The service is built on values which put you first, alleviating the burden of planning, eliminating uncertainty and curating enchanting experiences. Starting with Dubai, my mission is straightforward, to ensure your time in this vibrant city is nothing short of extraordinary. It's my promise to facilitate unforgettable moments, because who doesn't cherish a well-deserved holiday?
